Children will enjoy making their own rattles from empty water bottles – and will have even more fun trying to see whose rattle makes the loudest noise. To make plastic rattles, you’ll need:
• Water bottles
• Glue
• Paint or kokis
• Turpentine
• Paint brushes
• Rice/beans/popcorn seeds
• Glitter, confetti & small beads
Wash the bottle and remove the label. Fill a quarter of the bottle with rice, beans or popcorn seeds, as well as things like glitter, confetti and small beads. Decorate the bottles in bright colours and glue the lid to bottle. Then it’s time for a rattle battle..
