Children learn best through play. At Cotlands, we believe in the transformative power of play-based learning for children everywhere. Even with books, children will most likely learn to love reading if we make it fun! That is why we are excited to announce our collaboration with Book Dash, a social impact publisher with the vision that every child should own a hundred books by the age of five. Together, we are on a mission to promote play-based learning through engaging storytelling and interactive play activities. Our initiative combines the expertise of Cotlands in early childhood development with the creative storytelling talents of Book Dash to provide children with an enriching educational experience on World Play Day.
Through this partnership, we aim to make learning fun and accessible to all children on World Play Day, regardless of their backgrounds or circumstances. Join us on this exciting journey to get all children in South Africa to “Pledge to Play” on World Play Day!

Did you know that over ONE MILLION CHILDREN in South Africa aged three to five years still do not have access to any form of early learning programme?
Our mission is to change this by increasing access to play-based early learning opportunities through toy libraries. Of the ONE MILLION children that do not have access to play-based early learning opportunities, we can meet the needs of EVERY child if we set up a toy library in every book library in South Africa.
