Cotlands shocked by recent viral videos of the ill treatment of young children

Cotlands is appalled by the recent viral videos that depict the  maltreatment of young children at pre-schools. At Cotlands we go through a stringent vetting process and ongoing evaluation to ensure all our playgroup facilitators and toy librarians behave in a loving and nurturing manner towards children.

Cotlands CEO, Dr. Monica Stach, says: “Our Cotlands facilitators understand the importance of early childhood development and how the child’s learning experience can have a positive impact on the future outcome of a child’s life. More enforcement and implementation of a good quality early childhood development (ECD) program is required in the sector to ensure we provide the best for our children.”

Cotlands is a key role player in working with various government departments to address the quality of ECD services in the sector and will advocate for more effective and proactive monitoring and inspection services provided by the Department of Social Development and Basic Education.
