Someone once stated that “In golf as in life it is the follow-through that makes the difference.” This saying rings true for the Cotlands #All4You Charity Golf Day and we are thankful for the support from over 120 golfers and 19 gifts, prizes and hole sponsors. Through their participation, we were able to raise funds for our playgroup and toy library programmes. The period from birth to six years of age is the most important stage of brain development (90% of brain development) and these years represent a crucial window of opportunity for setting a strong educational foundation. Without this early foundation, most children tend to struggle later on.
The Cotlands Charity Golf Day was hosted for the second year running and we are looking forward to growing this event in 2024 by bringing more corporate sponsors on board to join our movement to make a difference and to address the inequalities in our early childhood education system. We want more commitment from both public and private entities to sponsor ECD projects that yield positive impacts on our society as a whole, reducing poverty and unemployment and promoting better economic growth for the future. We all have an interest in fixing the education crisis that our country faces. We all have a vested interest in how our future generations will perform, thrive and survive.
Dr Monica Stach, CEO of Cotlands, comments, “The Cotlands Golf Day is a highlight on our calendar and we are excited by how many individuals support our cause and want to make a difference in the lives of vulnerable children. We are thrilled by the number of new golfers and corporate teams that have supported our golf day.
Don’t miss out on all the golfing fun in February 2024. If you would like to become a headline sponsor or sponsor one of the holes, please e-mail marketing@cotlands.org. Get your swing into action, put your corporate four-ball team together, and help give a vulnerable child a head start with a good quality early education.
